Goodies-To-Go I
went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the
essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach,
and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

THE
MAN ON THE MOON
 Skating
in Trafalgar Square London 1997 ~ Photo by Joseph Curiale
I
just discovered that Im "The Man on the Moon"... Thats
where I live. Its nice here...pretty quiet...but the loneliness is great,
especially on the dark side... I get hit by meteors occasionally, but
I have managed to survive despite the hole in my head... I have to be very
careful living in a vacuum... Very easy to get choked if Im not careful...
Without some form of life support system, Im a dead man... Days
are warm and nights are unbearably cold... Large shifts in temperature... I
have a beautiful view of the world though... I can see the Earth and the stars
and everything's so crystal clear... Too bad I had to go back to earth occasionally
for supplies... I run the risk of burning up in the atmosphere upon re-entry... If
I didn't protect myself in my space suit and helmet, I could die you know... Occasionally
a technical glitch makes me lose contact with the outside world, but I
have managed to learn how to fix the problems so far... You must be very resourceful
when you're "The Man on the Moon"... There's nobody here to help
if I need it... I could scream or even die and no one would know... Oh
well, those are the risks we explorers choose to take... Its not everyone
who can live on the moon! ~

SPIRIT OF CREATIVITY: Thoughts on Living One's Creative Truth
The
form of our creativity is not as important as the loving essence within a given
form, because that love is the foundation of our creative expression itself, eternal
and indestructible. Composer
Joseph Curiale's book is an insightful, passionate and inspiring guide to exploring,
unlocking and honoring the creative spirit in everyone. His companion book, The
Wisdom of Creativity ,
is a collection of ageless aphorisms filled with enlightening and timeless truths
that can help illuminate the path that leads to both the discovery of our creative
riches, and the fulfillment of our creative wishes. By

AUTHOR'S
BIOGRAPHY: Composer and author Joseph Curiale has
been described as the poster boy for dreams come true. Arriving in
Los Angeles in 1980 with nothing more than a passion for music and an unshakable
belief in himself, he was writing music for The Tonight Show by 1982 and
soon after became the first staff songwriter in the history of Columbia Pictures.
He has composed and orchestrated music for movies, TV, and live performances,
including Steve Martins Roxanne. His work on the soundtrack for the
movie Breakin sold over 4 million copies, while his orchestrations
for A Tribute To Sammy Davis Jr. earned him an Emmy nomination. His original
CDs, Awakening and The Music Of Life, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic
Orchestra, are featured regularly on National Public Radio. Mr. Curiale is also
an author, poet, photographer and artist. A deeply spiritual man, his works are
recognized the world-over for their passion, beauty and sense of wonder. To

AWAKENING
Audio CD
Joseph
Curiale's committed and spirited performances of his own works rely heavily on
the tranquil balancing of different orchestral and instrumental sounds. "Gates
of Gold", the most performed and requested composition here, honors the
Chinese immigrants of the Gold Rush days who helped to build the West. "Awakening"
pays tribute to three beautiful "fruits" of the spirit, and "The
Multiples of One" expresses the "oneness" of all creation.
This CD is a celebration of the composer surviving serious illness in the California
countryside. His work is filled with tender, intimate moments ... infused with
wonder, radiance and joy, that is soul inspired. Joseph
Curiale, Composer & Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

THE
MUSIC OF LIFE Audio CD This
CD by composer Joseph Curiale is an outstanding example of the most sublime music
being written today. Curiale,
a master at orchestration, successfully melds Western sonorities with Oriental
modalities, thereby creating a style of music uniquely his own. Listen to his
"Tea in a Chinese Camp" featuring erhu artist Karen Han and "An
American Variation" to hear the influence that his years living in the
Far East have left on him. On the other hand, listen to "Wind River (I
Am)" to actually "hear" the state of Wyoming in its entire
natural splendor, and also to "Prairie Hymn", a hymn dedicated
to the spirit of the American Heartland and its people. Joseph

Composer, with the London Symphony Orchestra &

CALM Audio CD
On
The Calm: Inspired 20th Century Classics, we get a 17-track CD sampling
of some lesser-heard 20th-Century pieces that are all (you guessed it) calming.
It doesn't really fit the traditional, mainstream definition of relaxing music
nice, quiet Mozart or Vivaldi, for example. It does, however, feature beautiful,
powerful, sublime modern music. Each track is a revelation, from the more familiar
Messiaen and Satie to the rest of the album, each one is a piece that is rarely
heard. Paul Honey, Joseph Curiale, and James MacMillan all deserve a wider audience.
Hopefully, their inclusion on this compilation will help them gain that audience. Joseph
Curiale, Composer & Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
