Scorns a narrow-minded creed,
Lovingly fulfills its
mission,
Be it word or be it deed. Friendship
cheers the faint and weary,
Makes the timid spirit brave,
Warns the erring,
lights the dreary,
Smoothes the passage to the grave. Friendship
- pure, unselfish friendship,
