BE the World You Want to See!
| Taking a break is your chance to be 100%
present for yourself, free from the restraints of responsibility and the constant
stresses of life. It's important to include time in your daily routine to focus
on the moment and just breathe. How you unwind is defined by what you enjoy
basically, stay away from stuff you dread and just do whatever makes you feel
rejuvenated and sane again. |

| From the Inside Out HARMONY = LEARNING HOW TO PAUSE"The
notes I handle no better than many pianists. But the pauses between the notes
ah, that is where the art resides." ~Arthur Schnabel A
Chopin piano nocturne played by a novice musician and by a virtuoso will not sound
the same. That's because one of the two pianists has had a lifetime to practice
the music as well as learn when to pause in order to color the notes with passion.
So
it is with the concerto of our lives. Individual notes must be learned and played
and practiced before we achieve harmony. And above all, we must learn how to pause. Harmony
is the inner cadence of contentment we feel when the melody of life is in tune.
When somehow we're able to strike the right chord to balance the expectations
of our families and our responsibilities in the world on the one hand with our
inner needs for spiritual growth and personal expression on the other. This
is one of the most difficult challenges any woman (or man) faces because it requires
that we make choices every day. And yet most of us often feel too tired to choose
anything more than what to have for dinner! Perhaps
this explains why we often hear only a cacophony of dissonant demands that drown
out the symphonies our souls long to compose. Usually,
when the distractions of daily life deplete our energy, the first thing we eliminate
is the thing we need the most: quiet, reflective time. Time to dream, time to
think, time to contemplate what's working and what's not, so that we can make
changes for the better. On
the Simple Abundance path we begin to learn how to pause. As we bring the
principles of gratitude, simplicity, and order into our lives, harmony emerges.
We
learn to balance demands with pleasures, moments of solitude with a need for companionship,
work with play, activity with rest, the inner woman with the outer packaging. Today,
just try slowing down. Approach the day as if it were an adagio a melody
played in an easy, graceful manner. Listen to music that soothes and uplifts your
spirit. And
while you listen, pause to consider how all the individual notes come together
harmoniously to give expression to the entire score. So
it shall be with your world. With harmony as your guide, trust that your everyday
moments will soon begin to resonate in a rhapsody of fulfillment.

| Yes You Can! FIND SOCIAL AWARENESS IN SIMPLE WORDS: KARMAWISH.COM
 | One
day a friend of mine came to my apartment in utter panic. He discovered he had
unintentionally infested his brother-in-laws laptop with viruses. The night
before I had managed to break a window in my kitchen. I am a computer engineer,
hes very good with his hands. It struck me that in each others helplessness
we also had each others expertise ... |
That
was the day the idea for Karmawish started to take form. I had vaguely heard of
local exchange groups and was also trying to remember what the movie Pay
It Forward was about, but something was missing in the equation. A few months
later I realised how wonderful it would be if the favour could come from a third
person. You wouldnt be limited to the abilities and time and willingness
of the person you had just helped. With one simple twist your good deed could
now be repaid by anyone. Chains of help could be formed that could never be broken,
as anyone could now pick up the wish and fulfill it. It
took a year for the project to take shape and with no money to hand, I relied
on sweat, tears and help from friends. The public version of www.Karmawish.com
went out on the 1st of October 2009. Less than a month in and the site had around
1000 subscribers. And not a cent went on advertising or agencies, only word of
mouth. The vision here is to change the way we live and interact with one another.
Its not a naïve vision, its about getting people to work together.
Helping each other becomes about trading skills instead of cash,
which in the end, might be a MORE rewarding way for people to get what they need.
Who knows, it might actually change the way society works for the better. One
thing that always amazed me is eBay and its mechanisms. Send me the money and
Ill send you the goods. How fishier could this be? But it works! Why so?
Maybe for two reasons: one obvious one more unconscious. My credibility will
be compromised if I fail to deliver. As an aftereffect, I wont be able
to use this system anymore. Ill have trouble gaining others trust
and wont be able to make as much money if I play with this trust. The
second one I feel is more hidden. To me, it refers to the psychological need we
have to be trusted. Being the recipient of trust is empowering and a feel-good
factor somehow. Trusting
someone is a bit like letting go of control and wait to see what the recipient
will make of it. Ultimately its about asking the question: Are you able
to respect someone you know nothing of? We
live in a strange world. As the majority is racing to get shiny accessories
to their life, needy ones await recognition. Its fair to say we were not
born equal. This is not getting better, I am afraid. But we all have this ability
to give and receive. You've heard about pay-forward systems. Funnily enough, nothing
on a global scale has been done to join the dots. I think most of us have experienced
this rewarding feeling that giving procures, even though being on the receiving
end is nowadays past the norm, its well
a given. Why
is Karmawish different? Most of the time people either exchange favors limiting
their abilities to the two parties or they give to the next person creating a
chain where each person is involved one by one only.
Here the whole world is involved from day one.
Simple start: give to someone first. You earn a token and are entitled
for help. The twist is that you dont get it from the one youve just
helped, but from someone else in the world. The scope of abilities has suddenly
widened from the person youve just helped to the whole worlds abilities!
Anyone is entitled to help you. By doing so, just like you, they can be helped
by guess who? Anyone else! It becomes infinite. You
got it. This triangular system is where a mini-revolution lies. Theres no
limit in terms of who can help and helping gets you some help, so on and so forth
Second,
there cant be any graduation between our needs. Changing a window is
like climbing Mt. Everest to me, while its nothing for you. Getting viruses
out of your computer sounds like a mission to you, but its easy for me!
Lawyers advice is very expensive for everyone except
. lawyers. That
lawyer probably won't have the time to learn designing skills to create his one-page
website, but it should take only an hour or two for you, no? Now
thats all very nice in our western world, but what about people who are
victims of hurricanes or floods in third world countries? Sending food or clothes
shouldnt be too difficult and it makes it possible for someone to come and
change your damn window! There was no link between these two before, do you
see one now? So
go on, make a wish, help someone and lets see what happens. Theres
nothing to lose and everything to win here: www.Karmawish.com

 | "Confessions
of a Fake Nail-aholic" Written
by Life Coach
Karin Janin, M.S., this delightful little book is a humorous metaphor about
one womans journey in and out of the clutches of a beauty product that completely
enslaved her to the point of addiction. Her story is told with a generous sprinkling
of common sense, humor and helpful solutions. It is both frightening and funny
to see how she fanatically sticks to a bi-weekly routine of costly cosmetic enhancers
in order to feel better about herself. The author shares her personal addiction
to fake nails as an inspiration to others who may have similar issues and insecurities. JUST

Exciting
News!! ~ Here's The Latest Book From Dr. Barbara Sinor: Addiction:
Whats Really Going On? Inside a Heroin Treatment Program |
| Addiction:
Whats Really Going On? Inside a Heroin Treatment Program contains powerful
true-life stories woven together to form a tapestry filled with pain, joy, defeat,
and success. The entire book is molded around Deborah McCloskeys heartfelt
desire for her clients to be free of drugs. Her counseling methods both endeared
her as the counselor to get and locked her into a decade of searching
for better ways to help those she felt were stuck on the merry-go-round of a methadone
system. This book should be read by teachers, hospitals employees, college students,
government officials, and our general adult population whether addicted, sober,
or straight.
It
is evident throughout the book that Deborahs passion for aiding those in
addiction became her focus, as well as, to help redirect the way we as a society
handle our drug addicted population. This passion led her to write the fascinating
stories which pose the compelling question: Whats really going on? The book
addresses this question and others surrounding the need for change in how those
with drug addictions are treated in our society. One of Deborahs goals was
to manifest this vision and to bring the reality of addiction out-of-the-closet.
The
stories are true, the people are real, as are the life threatening incidences
and tales of pain. To balance the darkness, Deborah used her candid sense of humor
to reel in the reader until he can no longer resist. Once he enters, he will not
leave until he finds justice. But is there justice? The reader will search for
illumination within the intriguing stories of depression and defeat, but find
it rarely. Only in a few select brave souls who have struggled to become drug-free
will the reader find the answers to the manuscripts questioning title. The
book instructs us all to ask questions surrounding those we love and those we
do not know our addiction population. |
